"Fleurologies", Paris Design Week, 2021

For Paris Design Week 2021, Clémence Dumont presents "Fleurologies", an exhibition of works dedicated to Indiennes, a textile which marked the men and the world. Two series of drawings intitled "Fleurologies" and "Proto Flowers", as well as syncretic textile piece "La Vague" unfold two-dimensional textile patterns into 3-dimensional space.
The exhibition is presented in Simrane, reference for Indian blockprinting since 50 years at Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

Using floral patterns as a vehicle for experience and discovery, Clémence Dumont creates textile pieces and graphic shapes which reveal currents of energy moving through time and space.
